a. Coverage for Preventive Health Assessment services is strictly for non-insured components and not for publicly insured services. Publicly insured services will be billed to the provincial insurance plan by TELUS Health Care Centres and not by the client or eligible person. Purchase of the Preventive Health Assessment is not a condition of access to insured medical services.
b. Certain aspects of the Preventive Health Assessment may vary depending on the protocol chosen and college regulations. Some components of the assessment may vary depending upon the patient’s age, gender, and personal risk factors, as well as provincial and College regulations. The Select protocol is not available in Quebec. In Quebec, a patient can only do the tests noted with an asterisk (*) if the physician determines that these tests are medically necessary during the patient’s initial medical assessment.
